are we following the best methods, and the least destructive one is the question. look at china, they have not followed any norms in thier quest for development, and the citizens suffer there. i hope we dont follow thier path in the name of development. progress is essential, but keeping one step forward, while moving backwards in 'real terms' isnt worth taking that step. we have scant respect for environment. there are no independent audits. all projects are cloaked in veil of secrecy. no wonder the people dont trust successive governments.
