Tears rolled down my eyes
by Joy on Apr 14, 2006 08:13 PM

This article has touched me so much that while reading it tears rolled down my eyes. Why can't India honor these greate people we have? Why do we have to hear about them when they are 106 years old? Why aren't these people given Bharath Ratna? Instead of suggesting selfish people (I see actors being recomended for Bharath Ratna) who has not done any sacrifice for the country, we need to promote these great souls to show what our grand parents had to go through to get us independant. They are the real jems of the country. Is it only after great soul dies we can honour them. Why cant we show appreciation while they are still alive?

I salute the Grand old lady of my Mother Land. You are sure to live in the hearts of billion Indians for centuries.
