Maybe the nuking of this deal by Congress could be a blessing in disguise for India in the long-run as it will force her to stop pussyfooting around and put more serious effort into R&D, especially in the use of Thorium for indeginous power generation, with input from both public and private entities. And, even with the N-deal nuked, the rest of the deal not realated to N-power, such as space technology, agriculture etc., which will be be very beneficial to both parties, can still go forward.
