with due respects to your knowledge about all the forgotten messiah s of western music in india.. one think i was left wondering after i read your article is .. what are you really trying to say?... for starters you say that.. rock in india is dead (!?).. lets talk some facts here.. rock has never really had a mass following anywhere....it has always had a niche audience anywhere in the world..so why single out india.. and you probably havent heard of bands like motherjane and orange street which have performed to audiences abroad..my point here being.. you cannot expect support for western rock bands.. just because you have to.. there arent more than a handfull of bands which can come up with genuine covers with no influences from any of the biggies.. and lets leave floyd out of this please..there can be no imitations really.. cheers
