Give him a Corporate Business prize
by Cogito_ergo... on Sep 30, 2005 10:54 AM

Thank you, Hanif jee, for boldly speaking out THE TRUTH.
I belong to the same religion as Sri Sri Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Therefore, my views are not coloured by my religious beliefs. Even my mother-tongue is the same as his.
The fact of the matter is that SSRS is just another of those "gurus", running trans-national or multinational corporate businesses, pretending to give "spiritual" guidance to the whole world. There are many in the same business, like Mata Amritanandamayi, "Maharshi" Mahesh Yogi, "Bhagawan" Satya Sai Baba, and a horde of lesser known ones like S N Goenka ("vipassana"). A "Christian" example is Benny Hinn, who was treated like a Head of State when he came to India last year. He makes $100 million a year globally, Rs.150-200 million from India alone. The objective is to MAKE MONEY and GAIN POWER. The philanthropic and charitable actions are actually PR exercises meant for promoting their real business.
Why not give Nobel peace prize to Bill Gates and Melinda Gates? They deserve it, because they have been giving away billions of $$$$ when they don't need to.
Wake up, my countrymen, don't be such suckers.
