The speech of Mr Mushraf President of Pakistan
by Rev Dr Thomas Mathai on Sep 15, 2005 01:42 AM

From the beginning of 1947 our leaders including Prime Minister Jawharlal Nehru made blunders pertaining to Kashmir problems. Although India has more Muslim population that Pakistan and it is a sysmatic secular country in the world, they failed to solve this problem. By giving a separate position for Kashimr was the keycore issue of problems. If the leaders accepted Kashmir as one of the other States the present problem would not have cropped up. While Kashmiries have all the freedom in other parts of India, the citizens of other States do not have any right in Kashmir. Kashmir
citizens can contest election in other States but people of other States cannot contest in Kashmir.

Now the better solution is that call for 2/3rd referendum from Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh Regions to establish a viable environment as otherwise India has to continuously pour out thousands of crores rupees for Kashmir Development and also for keeping a huge military force. We are nuncessarily spending all these money for a people who are not grateful to the citizens of other States. The revenue collected from other States is completed wasted in Kashmir State without any return.
