India has what US lacks
by Meenakshi on Sep 15, 2005 04:46 PM

As some of our friends have suggested, US doesn't need anyone to bring it down from the world power. It's own inability to handle disaster effectively suggests that they can be a super power as long as they do not have any internal strife, natural or manmade. take for instance the way they have handled the katrina affair - couldn't even give up racial discrimination at a time when the nation was struck with disaster. same goes with the twin tower episode. one terrorist attack, and they waged war on afghanistan. But have they been successful in catching the prime suspect? Till date Osama remains an enigma to be unravelled.
In India, for years we have been facing terrorism, infact from the day we achieved our independance, Pakistan has been waging war and attacks on us in Kashmir. On the other side of the border, terrorists infiltrate from Bangladesh. China has control over some Indian land. But, we as a nation have been successful in facing our calamities, natural and manmade, much more efficiently.
Demographically, today, India is poised to grow with over 35% of its population in the 20 - 40 age group, the working, educated, largest English speaking tribe. We don't need America
