Will Ghulam Nabi Azad have the cool?
by Thomas Mathai on Oct 28, 2005 02:20 AM

Hi Mr Editor: Thank you for having given me a chance to write my comments. Panditji (Late PM Nehru) made a blunder in the history of India, by giving special status to Kashmiries who in the heart are not with India. They have all the freedom to move any part of India and can purchase properties in their names and even can contest the election from any part of India, but this freedom is not given to the citizens of other states in India. So as an experienced person in the Indian Constitution, I want to say that the Kashmir problem will be there evenif we give all concession and other facilities to them. Instead of spending our huge revenue for them collected from citizens pertaining to other states, the time has come we should seriously think to take vital steps instead of facing this problem like this manner. The Central Govt should come boldly with such a plan that if Kashmiries except Jammu and Ladakh want a separate State with 75 percentage people say so, let them go. Otherwise this burning issue will be unsolved problem and headache for India. The total blame is to be given to Nehru only as he wanted His native place a special place in India. May God save India from the problem
