Indian politicians are mere babies when it come to int'l politics, who have in the past, been only too willing to give away the store to gain nothing more than a pat on the back and some friendly chatter. China cannot be, and is not to be trusted - they only play by thier rules and they expect everyone else to also play by thier rules. Well you in north block or wherever, better wise up - you are now a bit more mature and in a more powerful position to tell them where they can get off.
