Why it is happening to Bangalore
by Alok Kumar on Oct 21, 2005 04:01 PM

It is Democracy, my dear sir. You get what you want. What you want you express through ballot. What Bihar is today, is what people want. It may be too harsh, but it is truth. Biharis are always concerned that their \'castewalla\' has become MLA, Minister or CM and they feel proud about it. Now look at the other side of the table. The man who is elected from X,Y or Z caste, he knows very well secret of his success. He performs accordingly to maintain that success. You must be surprised that I am talking about performance. Yes performance criteria is there. But this performance is not what you are thinking. He just keeps his voters in good humour. Things like welfare of the society don\'t exist in his dictionary, because he didn\'t get vote for that. He is doing what he was voted for. Therefore please don\'t blame him for the state of Bihar.

Same goes for Karnataka. Here is a message for the people of Bangalore. Next time you people vote, you should know what you want. Because ultimately you will get the same thing.
