Why did President Kalam sign the proclamation in such a great hurry, at "midnight"? He had the option of seeking the opinion of his legal advisers or even of sending it back to the GoI asking them to get the opinion of the law ministry. Heavens would not have fallen if he had delayed the proclamation by a few hours or even a few days. Apparently, our President is only good at preaching homilies to little children and has not grown up. It would be in the right of things if HE steps down from his office.
