this is fairly a one sided portrayal of the city. the columnist has very cleverly narrated selective parts of the instances to her advantage, adding a figment of her own imagination in the end! i don't know what kind of cultural freedom the columnist has in her mind. but one thing is sure - chennai will do well without any of that. i guess she has come back again with half-cooked facts (probably gathered from reading newspaper headlines only), and with an apparent bias. wondering whether this is even worth a read.
