Utter nonsense
by Pradeep R on Oct 15, 2005 11:13 AM

Shocker of a column...But I am more surprised by the responses against the city...most of them from ppl. who have not even set foot on Chennai. It is a big joke that one who makes a living by wiriting abt Tamizh movies on rediff on the other hand writes this! Greatest figments of imagination, each piece is! I bet 10 on 10 parents would not like their sons / daughters kising in public. U mean to say ppl kiss in local trains i Mumbai and on Pushpaks in B'lore? The author has denigrated Chennai and the residents with conclusions which border from the loony to the absurd. In public, more so in India, there is a certain level of decency /propriety to be upheld. In the first place, a college is a plae where u go to study and not show off ur cuts n'curves. And what were u doing when u signed the paper "Admission condiitons" - I will abide by the rules and regns. of the mgt.? The last piece shows how low can the author stoop for sensationalism. Touching sensitive topics like abt the culture of society requires a lot of maturity n' informed state. Unfortunately, Ms.Warrier doesn't have any. Finally, we Tamilians will b like this only. Mind ur own business.
