Based on one stupid incident "Women protesting on an actoress's remarks" you can't generalize the whole article which you've jus written. I'm not here to say what you've said is wrong. I'm here to say that I'm sick and tired of people generalizing stuff about Chennai. Talking about kissing in public places in Chennai...I think we all know what happened in Mumbai when a couple were kissing on the beach. A drunk cop took the girl in the booth and raped her. There is even a law which states that Kissing is forbidden in public. I read an article on that in rediff during the Mumbai incident. Cops come into bars only when the bars are open beyond closing time. Else they don't have any business there. This happens in Bangalore too where the pubs close by 11 PM.
And talking about Engineering colleges... Yes, i agree they have a stupid dress code. But it's stated in a paper which the student has to sign when they join the college. Each college has it's own rules and some colleges do have dress codes. And again... this doesn't happen only in Chennai.
