Please try to understand that when there are certain rules laid down by our forefathers, they were done with lot of intellect and foresight (of course experiance of generations also)- and it was not forced because of their selfishness, etc.
In all frankness, you could do whatever you want in your young age and have a lot of fun without caring for anything like discipline,values etc... but be prepared to pay for all that when you become old(Is there any doubt about alcohol/smoking/HIV etc. are good for health?).
It maybe argued that the freedom of choice could be left with the young, but young do not have considerable experiance to judge the result of actions and they tend to act out of their heart than brain - nothing wrong about that - just remember that you have to pay for all your actions, if not today definitely tomorrow.
