Chennai's cultural dilemma
by Avira on Oct 03, 2005 06:06 PM

Is is really unfortunate that with some recent developments, people left right and centre air their comments on the City's cultural attitude which is considered to be thousand times safer than most major cities like Delhi, Bombay, Bangalore etc. The city is mature enough to come out of this mess that the media has made. The city is definitely traditionally more conservative than most big cities but has been adjusting to changes due to globalisation very maturely which is the main reason why the city is so safe. It is unfortunate that all these incidents which are independent has been concocted to make a casual judgement on the city's cultural attitude.
