No permenant Friends and Foes in Politics
by Madhusoodana Rao on Oct 03, 2005 07:26 PM

Lets remember that there are 'No permenant Friends and Foes in Politics' and this is more true in International Politics. In The Case Of India-Iran-USA relation India has to do best what is best for itself.
I guess there were 2 options for India in this 'Iran Vote'
Option 1:- Perpare Itself To Accept to have another 'Islamic Nuclear State' in its neighourhood by voting for Iran.
Option 2:- Legtimate USA to Be the Sole Supplier of OIL and Gas to the World by voting against Iran.
India voted for Option 2, only Time will tell if India did the best for itself.
Option 1 is a very scary for India.Iran may appear stable today but a future Shia-Sunni Conflict cannot be ruled out in the OIL Rich Middle East.U already have a 'Sunni Islamic Nuclear Bomb' with Pakistan,India just cannot afford to have a new 'Shia Nuclear Bomb'.India should also not see a friend in USA who is out to dominate and Control the 'OIL and Gas' supplies. Its invasion of Iraq was not for any 'WMDs' but only for Oil.What is happening in case of Iran is just a repeat of Iraq. It was 'WMD' for Iraq it is 'Nuclear Bomb' in case for Iran, just finding an excuse to invade it and control its oil supplies.
