The brutal murder of Maniappan Raman Kutty was a act of cowardice by the Taliban forces and should be condemned. The immediate support to his family by the central government was really a noble gesture. Sudha Murthy has also donated Rs 10 lakhs towards the victim's family. I just wanted to know how much compensation is given to families of soldiers who sacrifice their lives working at the borders and those who wish to stay back in India rather than going abroad to make big bucks.Does media give the same attention and hype to all those from the armed forces who die everyday in Kashmir?Our great president Mr. Abdul Kalam once said in his speech that we curse our nation as to what it has given us. We go to the US and then run from there when there are attacks from Taliban forces and head to UK, soon we leave that place when we subjected to racial attacks. Then we go to the middle-east and think its safe until we are kidnapped and then finally we remember our nation and ask for help. The Indian government most of the times agrees to their needs and bails us out.This message was not to comment on Mr.Kutty but was to bring up the issue of our brave soldiers who selflessly protect us.
