getting abu back to india was of utmost importance. promises made to other countries need not be kept all the time. only such nations like china, US, USSR who did this got any respect by terrorists etc. ruthlessness is the language that world understands better and should be demonstrated at times. at any rate portugal is a minor country and that their attrocities in india just half a century back do not justify such concessions being granted to them.
At best government of india can send a regret letter and put the matter behind them in case court gives the death penalty to such a dreaded killer of innocent.
