I think the court (if the crime is proven) should give him what he deserves - death penalty.... but the Gov should step in (via the President if that is the proper channel) and prevent the execution of the death penalty and change it to life sentence or something................ that way the court will do its part right without being under pressure and the govt (and India's international credibility) will be safeguarded as well...
