The Indian Penal Code specifies DEATH penalty for murdering a single person.Abu Salem has caused death of about 250 Indian citizens,ruined lives of hundreds of their dependents,caused huge expenses on investigation,foreign travel etc.,harrassed Indian police authorities,enjoyed luxurious living in Europe and succeeded in dodging punishments for his crimes. Monica also most certainly provided him all wifely support in his crimes, and did not help law and justice. The Portugal law avoiding death sentence is faulty and hypocritical. Will the Portuguese courts let Abu Salem live if he proposes to murder 250 citizens of that country? Abu Salem/Monica must be punished exemplarily and publicly and quickly, without allowing our lawyers to cause any delays on any grounds whatsoever, and some routine and time-consuming procedures may even be discarded for that purpose. Let the Police and the Court/s give decisions in one or two and three straightforward, open-and-shut cases, and see that death sentence, if warranted, is executed quickly in a matter of a few weeks.
Let the new CJI and the POresident think and talk of other things than the capital punishment.
