Wha Laws have been broken
by V.Sekar on Nov 09, 2005 08:36 AM

As poitical lack of morality/accountability is the crowning jewel of Politics in this country, any amount of proof will not suffice for the present day politicians, small and big in the echelons, to accept their faults and misdeeds gracefully. Otherwise what is the reason for so many corruption cases against politicians going unsubstantiated?
We have to wonder when another Lal Bahadur Shastriji or a Mahathma Gandhiji or a Lord Maha Vishnu Himself will arrive in Bharath to weed out the malaise in the society and set the country in Order.
With the scores of loopholes in the man-made(read as Politician Made) laws, no commission / court will inflict punishment large enough to set an example to the others. Only a Sharia has some proviions in it for punishing in an exemplary manner, we hear. Our Indian laws are weak to the core to such an extent, even direct evidence has to be corroborated with no protection to the giver of evidence. Is this a healthy situation? Is this a fit democracy ?
Natwarji and Congress should set an example to others instead of being foolishly defensive.
