I have lived in Punjab during it's most terbulent times.I have been very closely associated with Sikhs and the pinjabi community. Well first of all I would like to say is that there is no difference between Sikhs and Hindus. They are both two faces of the same coin. They are like brothers and sisters sharing the same family values. Why then the divide? Well it all started from the British Raj and their policy of divide and rule.If Hindus are without their protectors(Sikhs) than they will be vulnerable. The British knew this very well. What better way to rule the country.Well surprisingly the same policy was followed by the Congress after their masters (British)left the country.Divide and rule. That's the only way they had learnt to govern, caring little for the aspirations of the millions. What has it led to? It has just put the clock back to the days of uncertainty. Well things are now changing in our Country.People realise the games politicians play. The coming to power of BJP and other regional parties are indication enough that gone are the days of the masters of the British Raj.It's the new generation which will take our country forward with Hindus and Sikhs both joining hands.
