Is BJP decline irrversible?
by ritwik basu on May 29, 2005 12:28 AM

Is BJP decline reversible?Well, what happens is completely upto the hands of BJP.BJP was brought to power solely by those who were and still are afraid of erosion of the oldest religion,of further shrinkage of Indian borders. In order to respect their voters,BJP had to be aggressive to the malicious minorities and to the minority appeasing pseudosecular forces. That would be nothing wrong. You follow normal regimen when you are safe and sound but if you are infected by deadly virus you have to resort to rigorous doses of antibiotics. That's normal. You exhibit peace and fairness only when things are smooth around you.But when the going gets tough, you have to be tough to get going.India is the only country in the world where minorities can be malicious to the majority and yet the majority dont have any right to strike back.BJP had to correct that situation and to make sure that India is dominated by the Indians and not by anti Indians. But they failed to do that and hence they lost. Now,BJP can surely make a more reinforced come back. But they have to shed their inhibitions;exhibit firm resolutions as they did in the event of Pokhran. If they do that, they are on.Else they are gone.
