a2k, Don't you see the danger in having parallel governments and laws ? If our current system does not work, we should amend it and make it work !!!!
Secularism means separating state and religion and having uniform civil code and equality of everybody. Your definition is wrong and dangerous.
Sharia is barbaric at best. cut off hands, public beheadings, stoning ???? Also, when muslims become the majority, what will happen to the non-believers (kufr, jazia etc...) ? pak / bangladesh / J&K are bad examples. The world does not know how to deal with Fanatic Islam. It is a big problem for the world. You can help by believing in the Indian Constitution and it's original recommendations (uniform civil code).
P.S. Avoid VHP/Shiv Sena/AIMPLB etc... (all religious fanatics)
