No amount of explanation shasll offer satisfaction to us. Of course, anger apart, there is little point in reacting to this stupid action of the US. Even in the normal times, the decision making faculty of the US was debatable but now after its becoming the only surviving superpower, and governance passing on to the rightist religious fundamentalists, we ought to have anticipated the fickleness of its decision-making.
We may not be as pwoerful as the US but we are an indeopdendent nation. Even in sopite of the fact that we have a fractured governance at the seat of power in Delhi, it is time to calculate every commercial and political decision from our own national prespective even if it is not to the liking of teh US. A hard task for the Congress government especiallya its finance and foregin affairs ministers.
