A pat on the back for the US govt for staying firm on its decision. For people who argue that it is unfair because Modi doesn't have any cases against him and that he had been constitutionaly elected, let me tell you that Indian judiciary has a very poor record of convicting powerful persons. For example how many big politicians in the recent past have been convicted? It just shows that they are above the law and even more so if they are currently in power. And coming to the argument that he has been elected again, well the people who suffered were the muslims in Gujrat who are a minority and a minority can't keep a person from coming back to power while the majority(Hindus)is rooting for him. The NHRC should also be congratulated for their effort. Yes its a shame and insult to India but it is not because of US but in fact because of Mr Modi who was not bought to justice even when the whole world knew he had committed genocide. Failure of the police in stopping the Gujrat riots was because of the Govt's lack of will and ignorance of minorities in Gujrat. Okay, Bush also killed people but they were Iraqis, not Americans. Modi killed his own people so he is a bigger sinner.
