The dangers of confronting China

An interesting article this. I agree fully that we need first to follow up what is happening inside China. In this respect, speaking as a reader, I find there shoudl be more contribution by our academics and media.

Another factor which Mr. Kak has pointed out is the growing naval presence. This is being neglected by our policy planners who in their obsession with Pakistan are losing sight that we are being slowly and quietly encircled by the fast growing Chinese Navy-Gwadar on the West and Yangoon on the East.
Meanwhile it takes more than a decade for our ministers and bureaucrats to arm the navy approopriately for they are afraid to take decisions on one flimsy ground or the other.
