Surprise stand on the oil pipeline
by Swapan on Jul 23, 2005 08:37 AM

Dear Sir:
It is disheartening to see that our learned prime minister is going to abolish the oil pipe line treaty with Iran. Iran is our long time ally and that has been proved in various occasions. It appears that we are going to give up our old friend at the cost of getting nuclear fuel. I strongly believe that India has the capability for enriched fuel on their own. Government should encourage the nuclear scientist rather than to beg nuclear fuel from America. I fear that we will float between China and America. I apprehend America will interfare in our internal matter. I personally feel that we could have survived without the promised fuel for our nuke plants.
