Another intolerant westerner
by Inderaj Singh Bains on Jan 25, 2005 01:07 AM

The writer of this article has not understood the concept of India. We have been very secular and tolerant and would wish to go that way in future

What would a westerner understand of this, my years in France and US have shown me that though most westerners have learnt to be politically correct, few are secular at heart. All their heores are people who killed and conquered countries, their villains are those who did to them what they were doing to the rest of the world (say germans)

I am a sikh who is proud of the hindu brothers, who are tolerant and forward looking and have the biggest role in making india the plural secular force that it is. Religious tolerance is a part of indian culture and part of all indian religions and by listening to another person it does not get diluted, I am sorry my friend it is not that weak, we have had invaders from every part and religion and we still are what we were.
