This is more of a political move than real concern for the socially neglected sections of the society. It has been the misrule of Congress that has created such a sorry state of affairs where each section of the society is seeking compartmentalization from others. The irony is that our nation builders are dividing masses in the name of social justice. These divide and rule policies from the indigenous politician should alert the masses as regards their bona fides. BJP as a party would have gained much more than it has. It would have gained more votes by highlighting the negative impact that this Bill is going to have on the country as a nation. The almost unanimous decision on this shows the political opportunism and lack of will to set things right on the part of BJP.
