Indian Govts cannot be trusted
by jaideep on May 19, 2006 04:04 PM

The central govt gave permission to set up minority institutions, this enabled general category students a better chance to get seats. That our govt has now changed its mind is typical of our babus and netas. Our babus and netas, I blame both equally, are adept at changing the rules at any time. Take them to court and they will amend the law.The stand on reservation is just another indicator, that the Indian Govt's word, irrespective of who heads it, is not worth the paper it is written on.We have PPF & NSC rates lowered, supposedly because the govt is bleeding dry, yet govt servants continue getting DA hikes, which I'm sure cost more than the drop in NSC, PPF & postal savings rates. This amendment also means that we as citizens cannot trust our govt.
