Indian Education
by Subrahmanya Prabhakar on Jun 05, 2010 06:03 PM

It is very unfortunate that we do not even interested to impart education to our next generation by taking the plea of ‘fall in educational standards with increasing number of student intake’. When there is no standard, where is questing of fall in standards! We should learn not only to cultivate education but also need to learn harvesting its outcome. Even though we claim that we make selections, most of our screening procedures are designed for elimination process. Many a times we see rating of educational institutions in casual / popular magazines. The rating agencies credit worthiness itself is questionable. The accreditation panels should be constituted a randomized fashion in multifold (including blindfold panels) to minimize the bending the facts. We should learn to improve ourselves but not to learn to live with mediocre attitude.
