It is very unfortunate that such a mishap has occured be-littling the massive relief efforts of the TamilNadu Government.In this sordid episode neither the govt nor police could be blamed a bit but only the people themselves.Irresponsible crowd behaviour and rumour mongering by the opposition has earlier too taken its toll.Not withstanding an empty treasury coupled with an hostile Central Government the people should understand and behave.The lack of co-operation of the central ministers leading to non-receivance of central aid has resulted in delayed disbursement of relief money and materials. This is a major cause for the mishap as the people may have thought that they would not get anything if they missed this opportunity and massed in huge numbers leading to the tragedy.
