Its the second rechristening that has sprung up in last few weeks. The first being Indian Airlines being stripped off 'Airlines' part. And now the garden city gets a new name. I assume that the people behind these 'moves' had the same goal in mind - revival of fortunes. Maybe it is good omen! With the new auspicious name, the infrastructural woes of the city will vanish and Bangulurites will live happily ever after. Or maybe the the puspose was just to gain some political mileage out of the gullible section by appeasing them with one change that they can 'see', rest assured that the city would still be the same.
