Caste system
by Sushant Singhal on Sep 12, 2005 12:56 PM

If a club wishes to organise a 7 days camp in the outskirts of the city, what will it do? It will distribute the workload amongst its members. Members will be asked to shoulder whatever responsibilities they enjoy taking and have special talents for. Some will take care of security aspects, some will finalise the curriculam for the trainees. Some may be asked to raise funds, some will be editing the souvenir. Some may take up the responsibility of cultural programs. Some will organise the kitchen and the meals. Those having no specific talents will be helpful in general duties - erection of tents, cleanliness etc. etc. Is any one member inherently superior to the other ? No. Is anyone's work less important than the others ? No. All are equal and are contributing to a common cause. Everyone is doing his work according to his liking and is helping the club in achieving its goal. This exactly is the original caste system in the society corporate. Calling brahmans superiors and sudras untouchables is the biggest show of foolishness and ignorance. In the caste system the old sociologists had tried to bring out the best in each of us for the cause of society.
