Level of backlash always favours majority. Emotions hardly care for what is right or wrong. Emotions have nothing to do with public or private service. If we look at the history Indian or World, most heinous crimes are well planned but backlash of people, especially majority, is never planned as it is always spontaneous. Rules in the book rarely control emotions. Just for example, recently after London bombings, one Brazilian innocent person was shot dead in London mistakenly by police in uniform (it was not a mistake but emotions overruled the judgement in policeman's mind). Poor Staines got burned alive in Orissa as majority thought they were doing wrong. So, it is the perception of the majority at the critical time of incident which decides what is right and what is wrong. Just a quick one, why Kashmiri pandits are scared to return to Kashmir (their homeland)only because of majority in Kashmir hates them. Finally after these incidents, we always debate, investigate, set up inquiry commisions as usual one after another BUT still feelings of majority shall always count. I am sorry if my comments hurt anyone.
