The 1984 is truly a very, vry great tragedy and a "national shame" as our PM has said. The Govt. must do everything to wipe away every tear of agony from the Sikh brothers and sisters and their children. Those who want to politicise the 1984 Anti-Sikh Riots, must understand that every Indian including all Congress people and their supporters had always held the Sikh people in the highest esteem till Oct/Nov 1984, for their bravery, their great talents, great sacrifices, their whole Sikh spirit in all walks of life, and even today the Sikh community is very highly and genuinely respected by the rest of Indians. There never was any hate campaigns designed against them by Congress or anyone, unlike the hate campaigns against the Muslim community by parties such as BJP/Jana Sangh/RSS and hidden RSS supporters. These people have been spreading hatred even before we got our independence. These riots differ from the venomous Godhra pogrom in this important repect. In Pune and many parts of Maharashtra tonsured children and young men were seen on roads, as if they have lost their own beloved mother in Indira Gandhi. And the mobs turned violent, behaving like cruel, rabid animals.
