Charity begins at home.
by S. Adhiraj on Aug 05, 2005 10:11 PM

With what mumbai has seen in the past few days, i feel that it is time that every Mumbaikar should stop and thi what can he do to better our very own city. It not the time to wait for a handful of senior leaders to woo the Corporate heads and the Govt. to pour in funds at their leisure time and then start working. What is really needed is that we divide mumbai not into zones but local areas and see what can be done to avoid such calamities in future.

I do not write much, but I feel that it is time that we divide the task amongst ourselves. Convert the shakas( so called office, where we spot our netas playing cards, smoking etc.) into a center where we approach with a solution and look forward to clean our vicinity. We do not need a government to clean our area. Govt. is there to wait for the next calamity.

Wake up, Mumbaikars. It is been 4 years since I am out of Mumbai, but the name still attracts me the most. The charm is not to be found even at Times Square or standing near Statue of Liberty. Please do not lose it.
