well, while this seems to be good, I cannot realise the importance of it as I have never lived in Mumbai. But the first step still seems to be the dissociation of Mumbai from Maharashtra.
Mumbai is not at all a marathi heartland and the marathi-mangers are simply trouble-creaters over there. Mumbai has largely been built by non-Mumbaikars. Tamilians and others from the 'South' and Gujaratis / Sindhis / Parsis in particular.
There is no sense in claiming Marathiness in Mumbai.
If Mumbai becomes a separate entity like delhi, it is going to really benefit the place since issues, not identities will decide the vote and the ministers can ceoncentrate on the city that values the quality of life.
