no proper planing cost mumbai a lot
by iyer harish on Aug 03, 2005 09:58 PM

After the recent happenings in mumbai everyone is surprised to associate the city to e the then metropolis where people used to come to find a better future
the fact is mumbai itself has no future in the present rate. the city is least planned and it bosts to be one amongst the most richest city in the world the basic flaw is the construction it seems to be just to fill vacant places in mumbai no proper thought is put brefore even constructing a wall
you could find two adjacent buildings built at different levels which is not according the norms the roads are inn such bad state and if they are repaired we havenew layer put on top of the old one so this leads to rise of the road level this makes the buildings on the road side suffer as water from the roads enter the building during the rains
the bmc started the strom water drainage construction in mid january along the eastern express highway but later it found that thetiming was not right and it would get delayed
this is what is the only thing they know the work along most poartts is still remaining
now u know why the water logged on the highways
i fail to understand the authorities have 7 to 8 full months of no rain
