like in any disaster people and media strted blaming goverment and its mechinery.even with state of the art technology natural calamities are unpredictable.very rare cases it do.not only in india but other developed nations also.the only thing we can do with this technology is we can minimize the aftermaths.in the case of mumbai blocking of water ways and uncontrolled cunstruction activities are the main reasons of flood. nature has its own way and laws.we in the name of development intreptting its ways. in india we reqire a master plan for land usage in metros and other areas.any cunstructiopn activities should adhere this plans&laws. always prevention is better than cure.
