The acts of great HERO!
by Bharat Dandekar on May 01, 2005 09:12 AM

Nice article âLet them eat plastic bagsâ by Kanchan Gupta mentioning how the flood situation was handled. Every year particularly in month of July/August, there is flood due to heavy rainfall and excessive sudden discharge of water from Nepal in north-east portion of Bihar. So every year there is a maple scope to collect (or beg) the money from honest taxpayers and to swindle the money. Also every year in same Bihar, during month of April to June, there are some districts starving due to acute water shortage. Again there is a scope for swindling money. The persons who are objecting such man-created situations can be dumped by calling them as anti-social, communal, fascist, oppression of downtrodden etc. I do not understand how the press reporters are never mentioning about the resignation of our great hero Gautam Goswami resigned from the Patna collectorâs post. There was a objection raised for using the government buildings for posters and banners for then proposed rally of Laluâs party Rashtriya Janata Dal to be held after declaration of last Loksabha election i.e. when the code of conduct was imposed. He never objected to such use. On the contrary, he helped the party. Later Election Commission objected and the posters and banners were ordered to be removed. Our great hero Gautam Goswami, rather than complying with the order, quit the job. After quitting the government job, he was invited by Sahara group. Naturally, you wonât get Goswamiâs news about the corruption charges on Sahara Channels.
