The language of the author seems to suggest that Kashmiris are like chessmen with which to play out Indo-Pak games on the chess board of J&K. I find this abominable.
Let us remember that they are human beings- individuals with their own aspirations, their dreams and their failings.
In this mood of peace and reconciliation, using language such as 'crush them to keep what we have' is retrograde.
Friends, citizens of India and Pakistan are at an important crossroad in the history of our countries. We can choose to create lasting peace and happiness for the sub-continent and put an end to one unhappy turn of history. Let us pick up the courage to follow the path of tolerance and renunciation and overcome our insecurities and greed.
