Well, a good set of points but our sour relationship with China is of our own making. And we are no less hegemonistic. Any and everybody in INdia who is powerful abuses power. Be it a powerful husband or wife, a powerful upper-caste community or a lower-caste one, and more so in teh case of religious adventurism by the minorities. Except for the religious non-adventurism practised by the majority religion in India, we are a dominating people.
China is culturally closer to us than Japan is and we need to acknowledge that. Also, while Japan may be more honourable on the outside, honourable people do not have comfort women, as far as I can understand. Japan's past also shows signs of invasion and torture, a past that the Japanese somehow are very proud of. While it is good to have a good relationsip with all countries, the maximum advantage will be a mending of relationship with China. Let us use Japanese technology and learn perfectionism from them. Let us also learn honour from them until we are really honourable people.
China is also important because we need to break the China - paki friendship for our own good.
