This airport is built on invaluable arable land. It has been by foreigners in preference to deserving and competent Indian organizations. Ratan Tata and Narayana Murthy lead a galaxy of prominent Indians who have disassociated with the quagmire of corruption that has accompanied this ill-conceived project. It is such a massive inconvenience to commute to and from this energy guzzling monolith that air travel links with Hyderabad, Chennai, Mangalore, Hubli, Coimbatore, and Cochin lie shattered. I am indebted to Rediff for virtual relief from the ground horrors of ordinary citizenship in Bangalore.
