V S, the reason that muslims even have their current population is because of hindu tolerance. Hindus don't need tolerance lectures, it is the intolerant lot amongst the muslims that need to learn tolerance. If there're enough shrines, there are enough mosques too. Btw, India is not an Islamic country. So hindus have every right to have shrines, unlike in the middle eastern countries which practice intolerance towards sects other than islam. you can stop complaining too much now. secular does not mean pampering the already pampered religious groups like the muslims.
