The problem with communists is that they consider only their view point as sacrosanct. They do not tolerate dissent. God forbid, if they get majority in parliament, then India will slip to one party rule like China and the local party secretary will be the defacto panchayat head.
Pretty much it is already happening in Kerala. The farmers of kuttanad have to take the permission of the CPM block chief to hire a harvesting machine in his paddy field. If you are shifting to a Kerala town on transfer you have to necessarily hire men from the local headload workers union to unload. If you unload on your own means, you have to pay them the charges - called overseeing charges (Nokkukooli). All aspects of your every day life will be dictated by the CPM party member. A parallel Govt. of sorts. They dictate their own law and enforce it. When it is resisted, you get violence of the sorts seen in Kannur recently.
