CHINJEEVI'S EFFECT
by VENURAJA Bowenpalle on Jun 18, 2008 11:03 AM

What could be the effect of Chiranjeevi on Andhra politics?.
Chinranjeevi factor has been doing rounds in AP politics only because NTR effect at the time was more than expected and very unnatural.

In AP public were so exhausted with Congress politics at that so much that any determined effort by any film actor ( celebrity) could have devastating effect on Congress party at that time ruled by Smt.Indira Gandhi. She was herself suffering from a kind of depression since the death of her son ,and her daughter-in-law was creating scenes in the house , by leaving PM's house without informing.

In any case NTR should be considered as very intelligent man compared to the then celebrities like Krishna and Akkineni.
NTR took a thunderbolt decision when his days in films were running out and grabbed the power.

Now Chinranjeevi's so called effect has to counter Telengana effect, Chandrababu Naidu's coming back trials and mind you, Congress itself is in ship shape condition winning the youth.
Now it is very different from NTR's days.
Chinranjeevi has to be very clear on Telengana issue and if he is clear , very ironically, he would lose support in Telengana!
His voites could be his own caste bastion called Kapu and so it could lead to alienation of Kammas and at best it could grab a few seats in Andhra only.
But if he takes up Telengana issue and convinces his comrades he can easliy over run telengana leaders and can even become first CM of Tleengana? Why not?
