You are right to an extent as the Anglo-Saxon entity of the US of A is well protected and secure and one president cannot make much of a dent to the structure and policies sculpted over centuries, but all the same the elections does invoke interest since, lets face it, being the governing world power, the course of the immediate future would get influenced by what a presidential candidate stands for. If US suffers flatulence, the world has to pinch their nose.
